Our Logo

Our logo was crafted by a member in our Connections & Marketing (C&M) team - Vanessa Quek. As an Art student taking H2 art for A Levels, this was one of the first side projects that she took up as a volunteer in Art:Connect.

This page will take you on a journey on how our official logo came about and the meaning meaning it holds for our team.

"My favorite part was going through the different revisions of the logo and learning so much more about logo design and graphic placement!" - Vanessa

The First Drafts

These two logos were the first created. One emphasizing largely on the Health and Connectivity aspect [left] of Art:Connect while the other focused more on the Art aspect [right] of our organization.

Expanding in the heart design, we wanted to add more aspects of healthcare (the heart beat monitor) and more aspects of the Art part of Art:Connect (the paint splashes)

The two variations is one with darker colours and a beige hand [left] while the other is more minimalistic and pastel, keeping to just pink and blue [bottom] .

Almost there!

Combining the heart puzzle design and the paintbrush idea we had from the beginning, we were close to finalizing the idea.

Keeping the minimalistic colors of blue and red only, we started to experiment with a logo that could stand out in front of lighter and darker backgrounds.

We finally modified the design above and went with the up facing brush as our final design. (mainly because it looked the best! :)

The puzzle really represents the connection with our clients through the activities we hold and the bonds we form throughout the way. The heart is also a symbol of how much our volunteers care for our clients when actively participating in our volunteer sessions.

Lastly, the paintbrush represents all that we are trying to do here at Art:Connect, to paint beautiful colors into the lives of our clients!
